How Showyard collects, uses, and protects data for the waitlist, the product, and connected YouTube channels.

Effective: June 10, 2026 - Last updated: June 10, 2026

Showyard ("we", "us", "our") provides an operating-system-style software product for YouTube channel operators ("Showyard" or the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to anyone who visits showyard.app, joins the waitlist, creates a Showyard account, or connects a YouTube channel to Showyard.

The short version. We use your waitlist information to manage access to Showyard. When the product connects to your YouTube channels through Google's official APIs, we use that data to display and analyze your own channel data inside your own Showyard workspace. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or train generalized AI models on your YouTube data.

1. What we collect

1.1 Waitlist and account information

When you join the waitlist, we collect your name, email address, the YouTube channels or channel links you submit, your email-consent choice, and basic request information such as referring page and browser/user agent. When you create a Showyard account, we collect account details such as your name, email address, workspace name, password credentials stored as a one-way hash, and billing information handled by our payment processor. We may also collect a profile image you upload.

1.2 YouTube data via YouTube API Services

Showyard uses YouTube API Services. If you connect a YouTube channel to Showyard via Google OAuth, we receive and store data from the YouTube API scoped to the channels you grant us access to, including:

  • Channel metadata, such as channel ID, name, handle, subscriber count, thumbnail, and statistics.
  • Video metadata, such as video IDs, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publish dates, and durations.
  • Analytics data, such as views, watch time, audience demographics, and traffic sources.
  • Monetization data, such as estimated revenue, RPM/CPM, and per-video earnings, where you have granted the yt-analytics-monetary.readonly scope.

We only access channels you explicitly grant permission to through the Google OAuth consent screen. We do not access channels you have not connected.

1.3 Data you enter into Showyard

This includes your own production records, video stages, freelancer assignments, due dates, sponsor deal information, brands, deal values, deliverables, contract terms, cost entries, software costs, and team-member invitations. This data is yours.

1.4 Usage data

We collect standard product-usage signals such as pages visited inside Showyard, login time, device and browser, and error logs. We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not set advertising cookies and do not share your browsing data with third parties.

2. How we use it

We use your data only to operate Showyard for you. Specifically, we use it:

  • To operate the waitlist, process channel references, and communicate about access.
  • To display your own data to you inside your Showyard workspace.
  • To compute derived metrics from your data, such as per-video profit, projections, and format profitability.
  • To share data within your workspace with people you explicitly invite and only within the scope you assign.
  • To send transactional product email, billing receipts, and opt-in product briefings.
  • To improve Showyard through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
  • To meet legal obligations if required by law.

3. YouTube API Services Limited Use compliance

Showyard's use of information received from YouTube API Services adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We use YouTube data only to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in Showyard.
  • We do not transfer YouTube data except as necessary to operate or improve the Service, including to subprocessors listed in this policy, when required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition where the acquirer agrees to honor this Privacy Policy.
  • We do not use YouTube data for advertising, including retargeting or personalized ads.
  • We do not allow humans to read your YouTube data except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or in aggregated and anonymized form for internal operations.
  • We do not use YouTube data to train generalized AI/ML models. Where AI features are used in the product, the data is processed on your behalf, on demand, with your explicit action.

You can revoke Showyard's access to your YouTube data at any time through the Google Security Settings page.

4. Who we share with

Showyard does not sell or rent your data. We share it only as follows:

  • People you invite to your workspace. Workspace owners control who is invited, what role they have, and which channels they are assigned to.
  • Subprocessors who help us run the Service.
  • Legal authorities if compelled by valid legal process.
  • An acquiring entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, where the acquirer agrees to honor this Privacy Policy.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain waitlist information while we operate the waitlist and related launch communications. For product accounts, we retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account or disconnect a YouTube channel:

  • YouTube data associated with the disconnected channel is deleted from active systems within 30 days.
  • Account-level data is deleted within 30 days of account closure, except for limited information we are legally required to retain, such as billing records.
  • You can request a full export of your data at any time by emailing privacy@showyard.app.
  • You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@showyard.app. We honor verified requests within 30 days.

6. Subprocessors we use

We use third-party services to operate Showyard. Each is bound by appropriate data processing terms. Current categories include:

7. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard security measures, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, token encryption where applicable, least-privilege access controls, and audit logging on sensitive operations. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users without undue delay if we learn of a breach affecting their data.

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data, subject to limited legal-retention exceptions.
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent for optional processing.
  • Object to any processing you believe is unlawful.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@showyard.app. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale, though we do not sell data.

9. Children

Showyard is not directed to children under 18 and is not designed for minors. If we learn we have collected personal data from a minor, we will delete it.

10. International data transfers

Showyard is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your data will be processed in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms for transfers from the EEA/UK where required.

11. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies only for essential product functions such as keeping you logged in, remembering workspace selection, and CSRF protection. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or cross-site tracking.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced through a reasonable channel, such as email to active users. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
